Financial Accountant

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing company in the manufacturing sector, committed to excellence and innovation. As they continue to expand their operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Finance Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with Heads of Departments and the Finance team, this role is pivotal in managing the completion and timely reporting of all financial accounts, with a focus on month-end reporting.

Location: Dublin and Offaly, hybrid
Salary: €60,000-65,000 + Benefits

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Lead the month-end close process, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes across the organisatiom

Cost Accounting

  • Manage cost accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and improve financial performance

Team Leadership and Development

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, mentoring and developing finance team members
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of financial management

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Contribute to the development of long-term financial plans and initiatives to drive business growth and profitability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Heads of Departments to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance and support
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and manage audit processes effectively

Performance Management

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Qualified CIMA or similar accountant with a strong background in manufacturing finance and cost accounting
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality financial information and insights
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development

Additional Details:

  • This is a full-time position with standard working hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Fridays
  • 22 days of annual leave
  • This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the flexibility to work from both Dublin and Offaly offices
