Our client is an Irish owned leading supplier of Engineering Components & Process Equipment into the pharmaceutical, bio-technology, life sciences, food and beverage, manufacturing and other highly regulated industry sectors. They are urgently seeking to employ a Technical Sales Engineer to join their high performing external sales team focusing on PUMPS. The position would be aimed at supporting field activities of the engineering team, conducting technical assessments, selecting and specifying appropriate valves for applications, installations and projects.
Key/ideal attributes and knowledge required:
Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering and pump application engineering concepts.
Extensive knowledge of pump fundamentals, pumps operations, pumps components, and pump types.
Well versed in pump installation, servicing, and commissioning of pump internal parts and components.
Hands on experience in pump sales, pump seals, pump mechanics, and pump engineering.
Possess excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
Result oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Identify opportunities for new applications and innovative solutions to pump related problems.
Generating leads and enquiries from existing and new clients.
Working alongside the internal sales team to produce quotes and proposals.
Liaising with end users, consultants and mechanical contractors to ensure company products and systems are specified on upcoming projects.
Providing assistance and coordination to customers from quote to order placement.
Experience in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and solutions
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to size pumps from system schematics and site walk downs.
Materials selection for pumps and piping systems to suit the applications

Minimum Requirements:
Completed relevant Mechanical engineering qualification or suitable relevant experience within the specific field of pumps including pump fundamentals, pumps operations, pumps components, pump types and pump engineering concepts
Minimum of 5 years industry experience
