Are you passionate about finance and want to contribute to a meaningful cause? We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our charity in Blackrock. As a Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in managing accounts payable, processing invoices, and ensuring the smooth financial operation of our organization. Salary 38k

Role Purpose:

This Finance Officer role is essential for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting the overall operation of the finance department. By joining our team, you'll be a key player in ensuring the efficient and effective financial management of this charity.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

  • Post approved invoices monthly.
  • Process payments and staff credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile control account monthly.
  • Process quarterly accounts from Brussels office.

Banking:

  • Support processes for monthly reconciliation of active bank accounts.
  • Process direct debits, credit card donations, and PayPal transactions.
  • Manage petty cash, lodgements, and cash withdrawals.
  • Resolve bank transaction queries and perform reconciliations.

Ad-Hoc Duties:

  • Collaborate with finance and other teams on various tasks.
  • Provide flexible support to colleagues on finance-related matters.

Person Specification:

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with Sage Accounting Software.
  • Previous experience in a charity setting.

Essential Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar finance role.
