Service Operations Supervisor (HVAC) Dublin West

Osborne Tech & Eng. Division is currently recruiting for a HVAC Service Operations Supervisor  to join an innovative and progressive Company organisation in Dublin West. Responsibilities: 

  • Communicating with customers partially national accounts, in some cases being the main contact.
  • Profit & Loss shared accountability (Revenues, Margin, Absorption, SG&A, and Operating Income).
  • Forecast preparation for the area of responsibility, leading and supervising the deployment/project team, granting the effective and fair allocation of load of work and Service Technicians’ productivity.
  • Service backlog management with DFSD and WIP control in the Area of responsibility.
  • Provide guidelines for Deployment team to optimise the execution of works, maximizing revenues, margins and absorption.
  • Manage Service Operating Mechanisms, including Safety and weekly meetings for Service Technicians, with the Field Service Representative’s.
  • Supervision of works to be executed, in terms of technical and safety resources and requirements, according to complexity or urgency criteria, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Define the balanced resources required to achieve the plan, improving year by year the productivity of the Service Technicians to optimize the resources.
  • Contact with the factory for troubleshooting, warranties, etc.
  • Collaborate in the resolution of safety issues, accidents investigations, etc.
  • Propose productivity improvements and innovative actions regarding processes, organisation, tools
  • Technical validation of subcontracted services and quality supervision.
  • Recruitment, as approved by HR, of high quality individuals to strengthen the team
  • Carry out Technician audits (car and personal PPE) 6 monthly using the required templates
  • Deliver Tool Box Talks, Including a technical talk whilst team is together.
  • Attend site every two months to assess their competency on EHS (Environment, Heath and Safety).  EHS includes the technicians knowledge of which PPE (personal protection equipment) to use and when.  Additional a check of the PPE equipment verses requirement should be carried out and any damaged or missing replaced immediately.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) during visits at site.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in HVAC business, Technical Services business or similar industry (e.g. customer service, engineer scheduling)  and technical activity focused on technical products/solutions; 
  • Local HVAC or Technical Services market knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent phone, interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Key Competencies: 
  • University degree in Engineering or demonstrated experience in equivalent position.
  • HVAC knowledge and experience with experience managing teams
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills at all levels
  • Managing conflict situations both internally and with customers
  • Autonomy to solve problems and take decisions, according to DOA and LOA.
  • Customer focus and Drive for results
  • Ability to work confidently & efficiently with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel & Access to produce correspondence & documents and to maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets & databases
