Osborne Recruitment are currently seeking experienced and dedicated individuals to join several organizations as Accounts Assistants across Dublin City Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions and assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of the company. These are full-time positions based in the City Centre, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment collections, and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Perform general ledger entries, journal postings, and month-end closing procedures.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
  • Handle vendor inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payment.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll data, employee expenses, and related records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as required.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
 

  • Previous experience as an accounts assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
