Job Description

Senior Group Financial Accountant / Finance Manager
Contract: 15-Month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover
Location: Dublin 2 (Hybrid)
Salary: €75,000 – €80,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Group Financial Accountant / Finance Manager to join an established organisation operating within the property, asset management and investment sector on a 15-month maternity cover contract.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly hands-on, technically focused financial accounting and reporting role with responsibility for managing month-end reporting across a complex multi-entity group structure.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in group financial accounting, ideally gained within a Big 4 or large practice environment, and will be comfortable managing high-volume financial reporting, complex accounting matters and tight reporting deadlines.

This position is primarily focused on financial accounting, compliance and reporting rather than commercial finance or business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close and financial reporting across multiple group entities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations and group reporting requirements.
  • Manage year-end financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including FRS 102.
  • Oversee tax compliance across multiple entities, including corporation tax, VAT, RCT and other relevant tax obligations.
  • Support accounting and reporting requirements relating to asset management, investment structures and funding arrangements.
  • Prepare financial information for group reporting, lender requirements and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function and supervise one team member.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in financial accounting, group reporting and multi-entity structures.
  • Big 4 or large accountancy practice background highly desirable.
  • Proven experience managing month-end close, statutory accounts and year-end audits.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including FRS 102 and Irish tax compliance.
  • Experience within property, asset management, investment funds or complex group structures would be advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems experience.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing demanding reporting deadlines.
  • A hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of financial reporting deliverables.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant, Group Financial Accountant or technically focused Finance Manager who enjoys financial reporting and working with complex multi-entity structures.
