  • Maintain the fixed asset register and process monthly depreciation journals.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly reports, including stock balances, aged creditors and debtors, and cash flow.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, audit preparation, and the implementation of agreed audit actions.
  • Prepare VAT returns for Ireland, the UK, and the EU One Stop Shop (OSS).
  • Monitor and analyse high-spend cost categories.
  • Liaise with internal departments to coordinate invoice approvals, stock pricing, and supplier communications.
  • Prepare weekly management reports and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Process monthly prepayment journals and maintain experience voucher tracking records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
  • Part-qualified accounting technician or accountant, or currently pursuing a relevant accounting qualification.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software.
  • Experience using SAP Business One or a similar ERP system.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and analytical ability.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience within eCommerce or retail would be an advantage.
