The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, highly organised and confident taking ownership of issues from start to finish. This role would suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities and is committed to finding solutions rather than simply passing issues on.

  • Process customer orders accurately using SAP Business One.
  • Provide customers with accurate product, order, stock and delivery information.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and ensure they are followed through to resolution.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and actioned.
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding order, stock and delivery updates or issues.
  • Process pick lists, delivery dockets, invoices, credit notes and stock transfers.
  • Follow up on outstanding delivery documentation and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support distributor and larger customer orders.
  • Identify suitable opportunities to upsell and recommend relevant products or services.
  • Maintain accurate customer, order and follow-up information across internal systems.
  • Identify recurring customer issues or trends and contribute to improvements in processes and service levels.
  • Assist with team and departmental projects as required. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone with:
  • Previous experience in customer service, customer experience, sales support, order management or a similar position.
  • Excellent telephone and written communication skills.
  • A strong customer-service mindset and the ability to build positive customer relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confidence in taking ownership of customer queries and resolving problems effectively.
  • Good commercial awareness and confidence in recommending relevant products or services.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with SAP Business One or another ERP/order management system would be an advantage.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team.

The Person We’re Looking For:

  • The successful candidate will be proactive, personable, dependable and solution-focused.
  • You should be comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions, following up on outstanding issues and working collaboratively with different departments to find the right solution for the customer.
  • Industry-specific experience is not essential.
  • The key requirements are a strong customer-service mindset, excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to quickly learn new products, systems and processes.
