Head Chef – Immediate Start in Shannon, Co. Clare

We are currently recruiting an experienced Head Chef in Shannon, Co. Clare, supporting a busy corporate catering site.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced chef who can step confidently into an established kitchen, lead service and ensure high standards throughout the week.

The role would particularly suit someone who enjoys taking ownership and working within a professional catering environment.

  • Hours: 7 am – 3 pm

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Prepare and deliver high quality meals
  • Manage food preparation and service
  • Lead and support the wider catering team
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards
  • Ensure kitchen areas are clean, organised and compliant
  • Manage stock and food preparation requirements
  • Ensure service runs efficiently and professionally
  • Follow all site Health & Safety procedures

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef, Senior Chef or similar
  • Strong kitchen leadership experience
  • Excellent food preparation and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of HACCP and food safety 
  • Food Safety Level 2 Certification
  • Manual Handling Certification
  • Reliable and available for the full assignment
  • Comfortable taking responsibility for day to day kitchen operations

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience within corporate catering, contract catering or high-volume kitchens
  • Food Safety certification
  • Manual Handling certification
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a busy kitchen environment
