LGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused LGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver to join our team in Corby. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of gas cylinders to customers across the local area while ensuring full compliance with driving, ADR, and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete all required pre-use safety checks.
• Ensure your allocated vehicle is roadworthy, secure, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Safely load and unload gas cylinders, using specialist equipment such as forklifts or cranes where required.
• Apply defensive driving techniques and comply with all commercial driving regulations to ensure safe transportation.
• Deliver and collect approximately 15-20 gas cylinders per day to and from customer sites.
• Handle cylinders safely using approved manual handling techniques.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards when interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, ADR, and company operational procedures.
• Accurately complete all delivery and transport documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A valid HGV/LGV Category C (Class 2) licence.
• A current ADR Certificate (Class 2 – Packages).
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Strong knowledge of driver hours regulations, defensive driving practices, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A professional attitude with a high level of personal integrity and accountability.
• A minimum of 2 years’ LGV driving experience (required for insurance purposes).
