Clerical Officer

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Clerical Officer to join the HSE team. This is a great opportunity for someone with good administration skills who enjoys working with people and wants to be part of a busy and supportive healthcare environment.

This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys helping people. You’ll be part of a busy team and will play an important role in keeping the day-to-day administration running smoothly.

Location: Louth

Hours: 35 hours Mon-Fri

Contract: 3 Month Temp position

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the team.
  • Answer phone calls and emails and deal with queries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases and files.
  • Process forms, letters, invoices and other documentation.
  • Assist with appointments, schedules and general coordination.
  • Input and update information on internal systems.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets and correspondence when required.
  • Liaise with patients, service users, staff and other departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Support the wider team with day-to-day administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administration, clerical or customer service role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Confident using computer systems and learning new software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional, friendly and helpful approach.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previous healthcare or public sector experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
