Front of House Receptionist / Administrator
Criminal Law Practice, Dublin 8
Full-Time, Permanent Position
Our client are a busy and well-established Criminal Law practice based in Dublin 8 seeking an experienced, professional, and highly organised Front of House Receptionist / Administrator to join their team. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, strong administrative abilities, and a compassionate approach when dealing with clients who may be experiencing difficult or stressful circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the front desk and welcoming clients and visitors in a professional manner
- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls efficiently
- Scheduling appointments and managing solicitors’ court diaries
- Opening new files and maintaining accurate client records on the case management system
- Audio typing from digital dictation
- Preparation of legal documents, briefs to Counsel, and court-related documentation
- Filing, scanning, photocopying, binding, and archiving files
- Processing incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and receivables
- Assisting with Legal Aid applications and claims
- General office administration and support to solicitors and legal staff
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with office procedures
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a receptionist, administrative, or legal secretarial role
- Previous experience within a legal practice, particularly Criminal Law, is highly desirable
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with case management software such as Keyhouse or similar systems would be advantageous
- Excellent typing skills, including experience with digital dictation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Professional, friendly, and confident telephone manner
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Experience dealing with clients in sensitive or stressful situations is desirable
