Growth & Development Officer – Dundalk
- Location: Dundalk, Co.Louth
- Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 depending on experience
- Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer / Management Team
- Liaises with: Risk & Compliance, Finance, Operations, Marketing and IT
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Growth & Development Officer to support the Chief Executive Officer and Management Team in delivering the organisation’s strategic growth objectives.
This is a varied role combining strategic development, business growth, market intelligence, customer engagement, community engagement, partnerships and commercial development. The successful candidate will play an important role in identifying new opportunities, strengthening engagement with existing customers and stakeholders, enhancing the organisation’s market profile and supporting the delivery of the strategic plan.
The role will involve regular travel throughout County Louth, building relationships with customers, community organisations, schools, clubs, businesses and other external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the CEO and Management Team in the development and implementation of the strategic plan.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of initiatives designed to support sustainable business growth.
- Identify new opportunities to grow the customer base and strengthen engagement and retention among existing customers.
- Use market intelligence, competitor analysis and business data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Monitor competitor activity, products, services and wider market developments, providing relevant insights and recommendations to management.
- Develop proposals and business cases for new initiatives, products, services and channels that can support sustainable revenue growth.
- Work closely with the Marketing function to develop and deliver campaigns aimed at increasing awareness, engagement and customer acquisition.
- Develop relationships with schools, clubs, societies, community groups, businesses and other local organisations.
- Represent the organisation at external meetings, events and community initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders and identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
- Support the development of a strong customer-focused and commercially aware culture across the organisation.
- Work with operational teams to identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and maximise the effectiveness of customer-facing activity.
- Support the development of appropriate commercial and customer engagement initiatives and provide guidance and support to frontline teams where required.
- Work alongside Marketing to support external communications, PR activity and initiatives that enhance the organisation’s profile and ensure consistency of messaging.
- Monitor the performance of growth and engagement initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare monthly reports for senior management, providing clear insights, analysis, recommendations and progress against key objectives.
- Support the wider team with strategic projects and other duties as required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a commercially aware, organised and proactive professional with experience in business development, growth, marketing, customer engagement, financial services or a related environment.
You will ideally have:
- A third-level qualification in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in business development, growth, marketing, customer engagement or a similar role.
- Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
- Experience using market research, data and insights to identify opportunities and inform business decisions.
- A proven ability to develop and implement initiatives that support business and customer growth.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- A strategic mindset combined with a practical, hands-on approach to delivering initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn information into clear recommendations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Confidence engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop effective community and business partnerships.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout County Louth.
