Job Description

Job Title: Inventory Technician

Salary: DOE

Location: Kilkenny

Osborne are recruiting on behalf of our client for an organised and detail-oriented Inventory Technician to join their team in Kilkenny.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the stores function, ensuring stock is accurately received, managed and maintained. The role will also involve supporting engineering teams with parts and inventory requirements and dealing with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt and processing of goods into the stores.
  • Carry out stock and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the stores.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Ensure agreed service levels and performance metrics are achieved.
  • Process customer and site-specific requests in line with agreed requirements.
  • Support engineers with queries relating to parts and stock.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as required.
  • Assist with general inventory and stores administration.
  • Complete other ad hoc duties as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in a stores, inventory, warehouse or materials environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of engineering parts or components would be an advantage.
  • Experience with systems such as SAP, Ariba, Maximo or M3 is beneficial but not essential.
  • Fully computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident dealing with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to handle and respond to engineering-related queries.
  • Adaptable, flexible and willing to learn.
  • Positive can-do attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
