The Package

  • Corporate credit card
  • Company mobile phone

  • Full product training provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual who enjoys working independently, travelling to different locations and making a genuine difference to the lives of patients and their families.

The Role

This is a field-based position working closely with clinicians, medical professionals, patients, carers and internal support teams to coordinate the installation, use and ongoing maintenance of specialist respiratory equipment.

The role is centred on delivering an exceptional customer experience to individuals who rely on our equipment to manage long-term medical conditions.

A client-focused approach to service delivery, new patient setup and product training is fundamental to this position.

You will be joining an organisation with a strong reputation for treating clients with respect, dignity and empathy. Many of the individuals you will support are vulnerable and depend on our teams to provide reliable, high-quality service so they can benefit fully from the respiratory therapies prescribed by their clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver, supply and install respiratory equipment in hospital wards, care facilities and patient homes.
  • Provide demonstrations and user training to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide ongoing support and issue resolution for patients, carers and medical staff.
  • Troubleshoot user-related issues and provide first-line resolution of technical problems, including alarms and error messages.
  • Respond to urgent requests relating to equipment failure, mask-fitting issues and consumable queries.
  • Conduct routine service visits to optimise equipment performance and ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate patient and customer records in line with GDPR requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Liaise effectively with hospitals, healthcare professionals, patients, carers and internal teams.
  • Manage your own daily schedule efficiently while meeting agreed service-level commitments.
  • Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota. During on-call periods, you will act as the primary contact for out-of-hours support and may be required to travel to patient locations to resolve urgent equipment-related issues.

The Candidate

Customer Field Support Representatives are the public face of the organisation, and this role requires a unique blend of practical skills, communication ability and personal qualities.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in a field-based, service delivery, customer service or sales role.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of Cavan and surrounding areas; knowledge of the wider Irish road network is an advantage.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a proven commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
  • The ability to empathise with patients and clients and maintain a professional, compassionate approach in sensitive or emotional situations.
  • Confidence communicating with a diverse range of people and the ability to adapt your communication style to ensure information is clearly understood.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond to support patients and clients.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage your own diary.
  • An interest in technology and the ability to explain technical information in a clear, simple and user-friendly way.
  • A full, clean driving licence and the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.

Healthcare Experience Is Not Essential

Previous medical or clinical experience is not essential.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with backgrounds in healthcare, nursing, patient liaison, customer service, field service, technical support, sales or other customer-facing roles.

What matters most is the right attitude, professionalism, empathy and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Full product and role-specific training will be provided.

Location & Working Hours

Location: Cavan region, with travel throughout Cavan and surrounding counties as required.

This is a full-time, field-based position with core working hours of:

Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Working hours may vary depending on travel requirements, patient appointments and urgent call-outs.

The successful candidate will also participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends during agreed periods.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a field service position. You will play a direct role in supporting patients who rely on specialist respiratory equipment every day.
