Head of Digital Transformation

Osborne are partnered with a respected public sector organisation, to hire a Head of Digital Transformation to its growing team. Our client plays a key role in environmental protection, conservation and the sustainable management of natural resources. This position will lead the organisations ICT strategy, and digital transformation needs, and will be part of their Executive Leadership Team.

This position will be responsible for strategically leading a team in the delivery of digital and technology architecture and solutions, and implementation of an organisation-wide Digital and Technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and advise the Chief Executive Officer in day to day ICT operations
  • Build the capacity and capability of the Digital Transformation & ICT division, and develop a high-performing team culture
  • Manage ICT budgets, in line with agreed business plans
  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are clearly communicated and delivered
  • Proactively lead on the implementation of a full enterprise architecture that optimises fragmented processes
  • Engage with key stakeholders to develop and implement a Digital Strategy to meet customer needs across all parts of the business
  • Manage significant external and internal stakeholders, maintaining a positive relationship with all stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in Digital Transformation of leading ICT transformation programmes in a public sector or regulated environment
  • Significant IT experience at a senior level in a complex organisation, which includes senior stakeholder engagement, at an executive leadership level.
  • A recognised third-level qualification, ideally in Computer Science or similar
  • A full clean driving licence 
  • Proven ability in acting strategically and innovatively, to shape long-term direction
  • Understanding of public sector procurement regulations and ICT frameworks
