Packaging Executive

Dublin 22
Up to €60,000
37 hours per week

(Hybrid after 6 months)

Our client is a leading organisation in Ireland focused on packaging recycling, waste prevention and sustainability. They work closely with businesses to improve packaging design, reduce waste and support compliance with packaging and environmental legislation. Our client is now looking to hire an experienced professional to provide expert advice and support to its Members across Ireland.

About the Role :
Our client is looking for an Executive with strong communication and customer service skills to support Members with packaging, waste reduction and waste management. The role will involve supporting key programmes, improving Member Services, managing member queries, and working with the wider team.

This role will require the successful candidate to schedule onsite visits to the clients’ Key members on a regular basis.

About You:

Essential

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar packaging, waste or sustainability role.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coordinating packaging design or artwork projects.
  • Full, clean driving licence required.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of packaging and waste legislation, including PPWR.
  • Knowledge of packaging returns.
  • Understanding of commercial waste management.
  • Awareness of packaging sustainability trends
  • Degree or diploma in Packaging Technology, Materials Technology or a related field desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Prevent & Save Programme, including preparing visit reports.
  • Advise Members on packaging design, waste reduction and best practices.
  • Support Members in meeting plastic packaging recycling targets.
  • Provide advice on packaging recyclability and work with the Recycling and Recovery team.
  • Attend relevant seminars, meetings and training in Ireland and abroad.
  • Support the Member Awards programme.
  • Prepare content for publications, media and packaging guidance.
  • Provide general support to the Membership Team.
