Job Description

Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their team based in Cork City. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual looking to secure a long-term position.

Working as part of a busy warehouse and logistics team, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect and accurately record incoming deliveries.
  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders in line with company procedures.
  • Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Move stock throughout the warehouse using manual handling techniques and forklift equipment where authorised.
  • Ensure stock is stored correctly and clearly labelled.
  • Assist with stock takes, cycle counts and inventory management.
  • Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods or delivery issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to all company Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Support goods-in, goods-out, dispatch and general warehouse operations.
  • Complete warehouse documentation and system updates accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across warehouse, logistics and administration teams.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics or general operative role.
  • A valid Forklift Licence with practical operating experience (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent reliability, punctuality and work ethic.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Basic computer literacy or experience using warehouse stock systems.
  • Full clean driving licence.
