Accounts Payable Assistant – Temporary
Our client based in West Dublin is looking for a proactive and experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. Key Responsibilities
- Match and process supplier invoices and credit notes.
- Liaise with staff across the organisation to complete the Purchase Order matching process.
- Ensure invoices are processed accurately and within agreed timelines, verifying that GL codes entered by Purchase Order requisitioners are correct.
- Maintain the Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) database for non-resident suppliers, requesting and updating as required.
- Respond to supplier and creditor queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconcile creditor accounts at month-end and investigate and communicate any discrepancies.
- Coordinate creditor reconciliations.
- Process payments to overseas suppliers through online banking.
- Prepare data files for upload to ROS.
- Scan and maintain invoice documentation.
- Complete month-end bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are posted to the Cash Management System.
- Process and allocate cash payments.
- Prepare spreadsheets for manual payments processed through online banking.
- Process and allocate cash receipts.
- File returns through ROS.
- Carry out any other duties as required.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- IATI qualification.
- Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.
- Excellent ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Experience using accounting software packages.
- Good understanding of Accounts Payable processes and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
