Job Title: Commercial Pricing Analyst – Freight & Logistics

Location: Leixlip, Kildare

Salary: DOE


Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organised and commercially focused Commercial Pricing Analyst – Freight & Logistics to support the day-to-day management of commercial processes across the business. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of quotations, supplier pricing, customer billing, commercial reporting, and financial reconciliation while acting as a link between Operations and Finance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining commercial data integrity, supporting vendor relationships, analysing costs and revenue, and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved suppliers.
  • Analyse supplier quotations and prepare commercial recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop customer quotations using agreed pricing models, templates and commercial guidelines.
  • Support commercial analysis for new business opportunities and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and update customer pricing and supplier cost data, ensuring robust revision control.
  • Manage supplier rate files, including renewals, expiry monitoring and version control.
  • Ensure commercial documentation is organised, accessible and maintained within company document management systems.
  • Audit monthly revenue and cost files to identify pricing discrepancies, overcharges and undercharges.
  • Investigate invoice queries and liaise with suppliers to resolve commercial disputes.
  • Support month-end billing and reconciliation processes by working closely with Finance and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate purchase order requests and assist with monthly commercial reconciliations.
  • Produce commercial reports, KPIs and management summaries to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior leadership meetings and quarterly business reviews.
  • Monitor supplier pricing to ensure commercial agreements remain current and competitive.
  • Consolidate supplier pricing information into master databases for business-wide use.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of back-office systems and commercial processes.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions (WIs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for commercial activities.
  • Participate in projects focused on operational excellence, productivity improvements and cost optimisation.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a commercial, finance, operations, supply chain or logistics support role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial and financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience managing quotations, pricing or supplier information would be advantageous.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with ERP or business management systems is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with external suppliers.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently.
