Technical Account Manager (MSP) | Cloud & Cyber Security

Introduction

We’re partnering with an established Irish Managed Service Provider (MSP) that has built a strong reputation for delivering secure, enterprise-grade IT infrastructure, cloud solutions and cyber security services to organisations across Ireland.

Due to continued business growth, they’re looking for a Technical Account Manager to manage a portfolio of long-term clients, helping them maximise the value of their IT investment while identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure, cloud adoption and cyber resilience.

This role is ideal for someone currently working in an MSP as an IT Engineer, Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Account Manager who enjoys building customer relationships and wants to move into a more strategic, customer-facing position.

Duties / Responsibilities

As the Technical Account Manager, you’ll become the primary point of contact for a portfolio of business customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service while helping them plan future IT improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and develop relationships with an assigned portfolio of customers.
  • Conduct regular customer review meetings covering infrastructure, cloud services, cyber security and disaster recovery.
  • Act as a trusted technology advisor, understanding business challenges and recommending appropriate IT solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customers’ infrastructure, security posture and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
  • Assist customers with IT roadmaps and technology planning.
  • Keep customers informed about emerging technologies, cyber threats and industry best practices.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities for additional managed services, cloud and cyber security solutions.
  • Provide feedback internally to improve service delivery and customer experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within an MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment.
  • Experience managing customer relationships or providing technical consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft infrastructure, networking or cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of cyber security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Full Irish driving licence.
