Roast House Operator

Permanent

Location: Dublin 8

Working Model: On-site | Shift-Based (24/7 Operation)

Salary: €32,500 + €750 Annual Bonus

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable and motivated Roast House Operator to join a busy production environment based in Dublin 8. This permanent position offers full training, making it an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to develop their career within a well-established manufacturing operation.

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the grain intake and roast house processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and health & safety.

Working Pattern:

  • Approximately 20 shifts per month
  • 8-hour shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster
  • Weekend work required

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the Grain Intake and Roast House in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Complete all operational documentation and production records accurately and on time.
  • Ensure effective communication of operational issues during shift handovers.
  • Liaise with management and the maintenance team regarding equipment or operational concerns.
  • Support the implementation and compliance of Quality, Food Safety Management Systems (Q&FSM) and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Attend and deputise at daily operational meetings where required.
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent English is essential.
  • A flexible approach to shift work, including weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • High level of integrity, reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
