Trainee Accountant – Permanent

Osborne Recruitment are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join a growing and dynamic Accounting Practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and delivering excellent service. Our client, a well-established accounting practice in Dublin 2, offers practical business, accounting, audit, and tax advice to individuals and businesses. Committed to providing innovative, value-added services, they help their clients grow and succeed.

For You:

• Dublin 2
• Fully Onsite
• Salary: €30,000-€35,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts
• Assisting with bookkeeping tasks, including processing invoices and bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns under supervision
• Assisting with basic tax computations (income tax and corporation tax)
• Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
• Liaising with clients to request information and resolve queries
• Using accounting software and spreadsheets to complete tasks efficiently
• Supporting senior team members with ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties

Requirements:

• Studying towards or planning to study an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Good numeracy and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
