Group Financial Controller
Our client, a manufacturer based in Wicklow are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis. You will to lead the accounting and financial reporting function.
Reporting to the Group CFO, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, driving process improvements, and supporting the continued growth of a complex international manufacturing business. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a proven track record of operating in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of Group accounting operations, including month-end close, year-end reporting, and external audits,
Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reporting, t
Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors,
Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting policies, and procedures, while supporting and coordinating the Group’s SOX compliance programme and driving continuous improvements in control effectiveness.
Partner closely with the Group CFO to implement and standardise accounting policies and best practices
Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team,
Take ownership of Group inventory accounting, including inventory valuation, provisioning, reconciliations, and control processes across all entities.
Work closely with regional finance leaders and local finance teams to align accounting practices, reporting standards, financial controls, and key accounting judgments across the Group.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 7 years' experience in Group Finance, Corporate Accounting, or Financial Reporting, ideally within a complex multi-entity and international business environment.
ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification,
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Manufacturing industry experience is essential, with strong knowledge of inventory accounting, costing methodologies, and operational finance.
Previous experience within a Big Four accounting firm is highly desirable.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with a thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
