Operations and Projects Executive

Our client is a leading environmental organisation dedicated to the responsible collection, recycling, and recovery of electrical and electronic waste across Ireland. They work with businesses, retailers, and local authorities to promote sustainable waste management practices and support the circular economy. Their operations help reduce environmental impact while ensuring compliance with national and European recycling regulations.

About the Role :
Our Client is looking for someone to support the Collections team in achieving battery recycling targets by coordinating daily collection activities, merchandiser schedules, and related reporting.
Provide administrative support and prepare progress reports for key stakeholders on projects managed by the Head of Batteries and Project Management

For You:

  • Location: Dublin 12, Ireland
  • Salary: €46,000 annual salary
  • Benefits: Potential to earn 10% bonus subject to achieving Targets, Pension, Hybrid model after probation  
  • Job Type: Permanent Contract Role

About You: 

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, including Excel and other reporting tools, with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using a variety of IT systems and digital tools to support efficient processes.
  • Able to work independently, use initiative, and contribute effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Operations management, Business or Waste Management qualification or equivalent experience is an advantage.
  • 4+ years’ experience in operations management, logistics, waste/environmental compliance or project management roles
  • A full clean driver’s license

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of battery collection activities across Ireland.
  • Coordinate collection schedules, routes, and merchandiser activities to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support, including reporting, invoicing, and project administration.
  • Organise and oversee community collection events, contractors, and stakeholder communications.
  • Conduct site visits and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Support business development initiatives to increase collection volumes and improve service coverage.
  • Assist with the implementation of battery recycling programmes and environmental initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Help improve processes, maintain compliance, and support continuous operational improvements.
  • Travel when needed for onsite visits, Trade shows etc.
