We are currently hiring a BER Assessor to join a busy and expanding energy consultancy team based in Dublin. Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: €40,000 DOE

  • Permanent full-time position

  • Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing

As a BER Assessor, you will play a key role in helping homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their properties.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out residential BER assessments in line with SEAI standards

  • Conducting detailed property surveys, measurements, and technical data collection

  • Producing BER certificates and advisory reports

  • Assessing insulation, heating systems, ventilation, windows, and overall building performance

  • Supporting retrofit and energy upgrade projects

  • Managing multiple site visits and daily schedules efficiently

  • Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records

  • Working closely with homeowners, contractors, and internal technical teams

  • Ensuring high standards of customer service and professionalism on-site

This is a field-based role suited to someone who enjoys a mix of technical assessment work, client interaction, and independent working.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified BER Assessor (SEAI registered or eligible)

  • Full clean driving licence

  • Good understanding of Irish residential construction and building fabric

  • Knowledge of DEAP and BER assessment methodologies

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Comfortable managing your own workload and daily schedule

  • Customer-focused with a professional approach

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable Experience

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • Technical Advisor qualification

  • Retrofit assessment experience

  • Experience working with SEAI grant schemes

  • Knowledge of ventilation systems, heat pump suitability, and HLI calculations

  • Experience using CRM or scheduling systems
