Osborne Recruitment are partnering with our client in the search for a Junior Estimator to join their construction team in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional.

  • Responsibilities
  • Prepare, compile, and submit accurate, detailed, and timely tender submissions for construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and other tender documentation to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
  • Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to support competitive and profitable tender submissions.
  • Support the delivery of profitable work orders through effective cost analysis and tender management.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of tendering systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contractual changes, market conditions, and developments within the construction industry.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams while also managing responsibilities independently and using initiative.
Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in an estimating or estimating/QS role within the construction industry.
  • Third-level qualification.
  • Strong understanding of construction tendering processes, contracts, and cost management.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
