Financial Accountant
A well-established company in Dublin 22 is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. The client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Financial Accountant to join our finance team.
This role will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, budgeting, statutory reporting, and continuous process improvement across multiple entities and jurisdictions. This role is office-based. This is a permanent role. The are seeking a practice trained candidate with 2-3 years’ experience in industry. This candidate will report to the Finance Director

Key Responsibilities:
Manage period-end close activities, including preparation and review of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports across multiple entities and jurisdictions
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled on a regular basis, including intercompany account reconciliations
Maintain integrity of bank reconciliations, oversee payroll preparation, and monitor cashflow requirements
Reconcile and report on key P&L costs and business streams, including monthly review meetings with budget holders
Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and internal controls
Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
Prepare and present monthly financial KPI reports to the Finance Director
Provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to stakeholders as required
Support finance-related projects and supervise junior finance team members where appropriate
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience in a similar role
Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting and reconciliations
Commercially aware with strong business acumen
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving
Desirable Skills:
Experience working across multiple entities or jurisdictions
Previous experience supervising or mentoring finance team members
Strong systems and Excel proficiency
