We are currently working with our client who are seeking a Senior EHS Advisor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple construction projects. This position involves working closely with site teams to ensure compliance with regulations, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety. The Senior EHS Advisor provides expert guidance on risk reduction strategies, ensures all personnel receive adequate training, and supports the EHS Manager in driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, they act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and contribute to the implementation of sustainability and environmental initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and standards
Develop and review risk assessments and method statements to mitigate hazards
Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and support a strong safety culture on-site
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, providing actionable recommendations
Collaborate with project teams to implement and monitor safety plans
Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports, and compliance records
Act as the main liaison for regulatory inspections and audits
Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and risk management
Support environmental and sustainability initiatives (waste, energy, compliance)
Manage and mentor junior EHS team members
Support ISO audits, tender processes, and client-facing safety discussions
Oversee EHS systems/tools (e.g., HammerTech) and multi-site workload
Requirements
Degree (Level 8+) in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
Proven EHS experience, ideally within construction or similar environments
Strong knowledge of EHS legislation, risk assessment, and hazard identification
Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
Familiarity with ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities effectively
NEBOSH or equivalent qualification (preferred)
Commitment to continuous professional development in EHS
