Temporary Payroll and Pensions Administrator

Here at Osborne, we are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation, for a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join its Finance Team on a temporary basis.
Reporting to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, the Payroll and Pensions Administrator will support the administration and maintenance of payroll and pension records across the organisation.

Temporary Contract – Immediate Start

Location: Citywest, Co. Dublin
Duration: Up to 6 months (approximate)

Hourly rate: €20.56 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week. Monday–Thursday 9am–5:15pm & Friday 9am-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the administration and updating of pension register files for all employees
  • Updating Payrec files and organising historical employee records
  • Scanning and uploading employee cards and documentation onto the system
  • Assist with the preparation and issuing of pension benefit statements for all superannuation schemes, in line with IORP II EU Directive requirements
  • Support the Payroll and Pensions Manager on ad-hoc duties as required
  • Occasional travel to Regional Business Division offices to attend meetings or access files

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised third-level qualification in a relevant discipline at NFQ Level 7 or equivalent is required
  • Part Qualified Accountant / Accounting Technician or equivalent finance-related qualification
  • Full Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland is required
  • Excellent working knowledge of payroll systems
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong technical aptitude
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Self-starter with initiative and flexibility
  • Knowledge and/or experience of public sector pension schemes is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Sage Micropay is desirable
