Part-Time Finance Officer

Location: Dublin 8 (Hybrid model)
Salary: €43,000 pro rata
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible)
Annual Leave: 23 days pro rata

Osborne is partnering with an established organisation in Dublin 8 to recruit a Part-Time Finance Officer on a permanent basis. This role offers flexible working hours and would suit someone with a strong foundation in finance or bookkeeping who enjoys a varied, hands-on position within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities of the Finance Officer

  • Prepare and issue invoices.
  • Generate and distribute sales invoices.
  • Complete weekly cash reconciliations, comparing POS totals with physical cash and preparing weekly cash summary reports.
  • Monitor debtor receipts and bank lodgements.
  • Follow up on outstanding debtors and support effective credit control.
  • Liaise with external finance partners to ensure timely allocation of receipts.
  • Process supplier invoices, including utilities, consumables, and operational costs, ensuring accurate coding, approval, and submission for payment.
  • Track and reconcile invoices and remittance advices from partners and third-party suppliers.
  • Provide agreed financial information to external finance partners within required deadlines.
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash, ensuring accurate records and appropriate float levels.
  • Compile weekly payroll support reports, providing accurate data to finance partners to support timely payroll processing.
  • Provide general office and finance administration support, including supplier management and procurement assistance.

The Ideal Finance Officer

  • Previous experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounts administration role.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
  • Experience handling cash, POS systems, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, or retail is beneficial but not essential.​​​​​​​
