We are seeking a motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales operations across the Galway region. This role involves managing and supporting Van Sales Operators, Authorised Distributors, and regional depots to deliver exceptional customer service and drive strong commercial performance. The ideal candidate will excel at building lasting relationships, developing revenue opportunities, and motivating a sales team to achieve results.
Salary: €45,000 + Company Car + Phone + Laptop
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Deliver annual and quarterly sales targets by managing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring high-quality after-sales support.
Returns Management: Monitor product returns and maintain them within agreed percentage thresholds.
Stock Oversight: Ensure accurate stock tracking and reconciliation from delivery through to final sale.
Team Scheduling: Manage rotas and scheduling to guarantee full operational coverage during holidays, absences, and peak trading periods.
People Management: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff. Maintain appropriate staffing levels at all times.
Fleet Oversight: Manage company vehicle compliance, maintenance schedules, and accident reporting procedures.
Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, timely reports to senior management and maintain consistent communication on all business-critical matters.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar sales, area management, or territory management role.
Strong commercial acumen and commitment to excellent customer service.
Excellent communication, organisational, and planning skills.
Proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to take full ownership of responsibilities.
Team-oriented individual capable of contributing to broader sales strategy.
Full, clean Irish/European driving licence is essential.
