We are looking for a skilled and motivated Quality Control Technician to join their team on a 23-month contract to support the production and quality assurance of cutting-edge electro-mechanical parts and instrumentation. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for the technical inspection and quality assurance of electro-mechanical components and large in-vitro diagnostic instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct technical inspections of electro-mechanical parts and large in-vitro diagnostic instrumentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
Support the quality control aspects of instrument manufacturing, ensuring high standards are met.
Investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring production targets are achieved.
Maintain and review all paperwork, test data, and records to ensure accuracy and availability for final assessment of devices prior to dispatch.
Investigate failures, return parts, and use your knowledge and experience to identify the root causes of malfunctions or non-conformities in the systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Key Requirements:
A minimum of a QQI Level 6 qualification (Diploma or higher) in Engineering or Science Discipline (Bio-Chemistry, Chemical, Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or other relevant technical background) or Diploma / Trade qualification with relevant experience in automation / system manufacturing or support.
Proven experience in quality control or technical inspection, preferably within the healthcare, medical device, or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and large diagnostic instrumentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Ability to maintain meticulous records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Ability to investigate and analyse failures, determining causes of malfunction or non-conformance.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to quality
