BMS Electrical CAD Technician

Osborne Recruitment are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BMS Electrical CAD Technician to join our client’s design team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and implementation of Building Management Systems
 

  • Job Type: Full Time Permanent
  • Location: Dublin
  • Salary: 40-50k DOE

Responsibilities:
Electrical CAD Design:

  • Create detailed electrical designs of BMS panels using CAD software.
  • Develop comprehensive wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.

BMS Panel Design:

  • Design and size MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers), transformers, and 24V Power Supplies for BMS panels.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop I/O (Input/Output) wiring diagrams for BMS panels.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to integrate I/O components seamlessly.

Technical Documentation:

  • Prepare technical documentation, including panel schedules, bill of materials, and equipment specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of electrical designs and modifications.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • Degree or certification in Electrical Design or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical CAD Technician with a focus on BMS panel design.
  • Strong knowledge of wiring I/O, sizing MCBs, transformers, and 24V Power Supplies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, WSCAD etc.) for electrical design.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues.
