Osborne Recruitment are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BMS Electrical CAD Technician to join our client’s design team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and implementation of Building Management Systems
Job Type: Full Time Permanent
Location: Dublin
Salary: 40-50k DOE
Responsibilities: Electrical CAD Design:
Create detailed electrical designs of BMS panels using CAD software.
Develop comprehensive wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
BMS Panel Design:
Design and size MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers), transformers, and 24V Power Supplies for BMS panels.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop I/O (Input/Output) wiring diagrams for BMS panels.
Coordinate with the engineering team to integrate I/O components seamlessly.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare technical documentation, including panel schedules, bill of materials, and equipment specifications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of electrical designs and modifications.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the engineering team to understand project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications: Education:
Degree or certification in Electrical Design or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as an Electrical CAD Technician with a focus on BMS panel design.
Strong knowledge of wiring I/O, sizing MCBs, transformers, and 24V Power Supplies.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, WSCAD etc.) for electrical design.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues.
