Our client is a growing e-commerce business within the horticultural industry, committed to providing high-quality products to their customers while promoting sustainable practices in gardening and horticulture. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Manager to join the team and drive the success of our online operations as they expand the business within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Proven experience (5+ years) in business management, sales, or account management, ideally within an e-commerce or retail environment.
Experience in horticulture or the agricultural industry is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and data analytics.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving problems and driving business growth.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and e-commerce tools
Your duties will include:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring the smooth running of all online processes from product listings to order fulfillment.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to ensure the business remains competitive and innovative.
Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
Lead client account management, managing inquiries, orders, and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer needs.
Drive sales growth through proactive business development and identifying new opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to tailor offerings to meet customer demands and market trends.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of e-commerce professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work culture.
Manage day-to-day team operations, setting clear goals, providing performance feedback, and encouraging personal and professional growth.
Ensure the team is aligned with the company’s vision and operational goals.
Work closely with the leadership team across the wider company group to align e-commerce strategy with broader business objectives.
Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, contributing insights from the e-commerce business.
Help drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within the business.
