Policy Officer (Executive Officer)

Osborne Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading government agency in Dublin 4 to recruit a Policy Officer to join their Policy and Strategic Planning team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on impactful policy initiatives, support strategic planning efforts, and engage with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
This hybrid role is ideal for a highly organised individual with strong communication skills and a passion for policy development.

Job Details

  • Location: Dublin 4 (Hybrid)
  • Rate: €20 per hour
  • Contract: Temporary (3-6 months)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and strategic plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate projects, ensuring progress is tracked and milestones are achieved.
  • Analyse and compile reports and statistical data from higher education institutions.
  • Draft proposals, reports, guidelines, and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Conduct research and provide actionable insights to support policy initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to committees and working groups, including minute-taking and document management.
  • Assist in the coordination of meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Prepare documentation for the Board and executive reports.
  • Support the Senior Manager and the team with general administrative tasks as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting reports and proposals.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience supporting committees or working groups, including documentation preparation.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
