Warehouse Supervisor

I am currently assisting our client to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor to join their logistics team and be a support to their warehouse manager. This leading distribution company is located in Blanchardstown Dublin 15 and are looking for someone to come onboard and assist the Warehouse Manager but also work effectively in the Warehouse picking, packing and operating a Reach forklift.
The successful candidate for this role will have experience for a minimum of 2 years in a Warehouse supervisory or team lead role. The right person will have the ability to work in a fast-moving warehouse and lead the team to achieve targets etc.

Due to location – Own transport would be required

Salary & Benefits

  • €35,000 – €40,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the intake, storage, dispatch and processing of orders and returns within the warehouse
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area ensuring pick slots are kept full and space is optimized
  • Ensure shipments and stock transactions accuracy
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload
  • Interface with stakeholders to answer questions or solve problems
  • Monitor team members to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating FLT’s
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments

Key Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor & clear knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Reach truck licence
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize when assigning employee workloads
  • Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and operational issues
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
