Financial Accountant

About the Role:

Osborne Recruitment has partnered with a leading company in the retail and wholesale hardware industry to source an experienced Financial Accountant. This role focuses on managing traditional accounting functions within a high-volume, structured finance environment, with key responsibilities in invoice processing, Accounts Payable, and cross-jurisdictional reporting. This position is ideal for a professional seeking a stable, reliable role within a quality-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end processing of Accounts Payable, managing high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct VAT returns, banking reconciliations, tax compliance, journal entries, and rebate calculations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Leverage experience with invoice discounting to optimize payment processes.
• Maintain financial operations across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, supporting cross-jurisdictional compliance and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and team efficiencies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Solid experience in traditional finance and accounting functions, particularly in high-volume environments.
• Expertise in VAT, tax compliance, banking, and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with invoice discounting and experience in multi-jurisdictional financial operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in finance software and systems, along with a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new tools
