Assistant Manager

Osborne Executive Recruitment are proud to partner with a non-profit organisation based in the North-East to recruit a new Assistant Manager. They are dedicated to providing key essential services and support within their community and work to create lasting change through advocacy, support services, and sustainable initiatives, empowering people to rebuild their lives with dignity. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in the management and delivery of the organisation’s day to day services, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and client care. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for operational planning, staff management, resource allocation, and the implementation of policies and procedures. You will also work closely with the leadership team to ensure that the charity’s strategic objectives are realised on a practical level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily operations management
  • Staff management and performance
  • Service Delivery and quality assurance
  • Health and Safety and Risk Management
  • Stakeholder engagement

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in a management role, ideally within a service led provision
  • Strong understanding of service delivery and client care, particularly supporting vulnerable or marginalised people
  • Excellent people management skills including performance management
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, safeguarding, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks affecting the charity sector.
  • Experience working with volunteers and community groups.
