Support the Plant Supervisor in the efficient and effective maintenance of the facility and equipment, including proactive and reactive maintenance programs.
The aim is to minimize plant downtime and maximize throughput, while aligning with Core Purpose and Values.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Processing Line Uptime: Maintain at least 85% uptime (downtime below 15%) on the full processing line.
Maintenance Checklist Completion: Achieve 95% completion average on the Weekly Checklist set by the Plant Supervisor with 99% accuracy within three months.
Plant Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, efficient, and well-run processing line and maintenance area, ensuring areas are free from spillages, litter, excessive dust, grime buildup, and leaking equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Monitor processing line and machine performance to identify issues.
Conduct detailed checks on all equipment per maintenance checklists.
Ensure all equipment, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and mobile machinery, is clean, greased, and operating optimally.
Inform the Plant Supervisor of spare parts required and spare parts used.
Ensure all equipment complies with Health & Safety standards, including appropriate guarding.
Investigate breakdowns immediately, report to the Plant Supervisor, and support the resolution process to minimize downtime.
Support the Maintenance Team to achieve maximum plant uptime.
Follow Environmental, Health & Safety processes and procedures.
Reflect Core Values at all times.
Key Requirements:
Maintenance/fitter qualification recognized by relevant authorities.
Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, conveyors, pneumatics, fabrication, and safety regulations.
Proficient in diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues.
Work Environment:
Willingness to work in a challenging environment, including exposure to strong odors and hazardous conditions.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
