Credit Control Executive

Our client, a leading retailer with a diverse portfolio of contracts across domestic, commercial, and public sectors, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Control Executive to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Dublin 22, offering a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growing business. The Credit Control Executive will be responsible for maintaining the company's sales/debtor ledger, ensuring efficient debt collection, and managing customer accounts. The role is split between credit control (60%) and administrative duties (40%). The ideal candidate will be system-savvy, adept at handling multiple systems, and highly proficient in Excel. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is crucial, as you will interact with multiple points of contact.

Location: Dublin 22
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (1 day hybrid per week after probation)
Salary: €37,000 – €44,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Control 
  • Maintain and manage the company’s sales/debtor ledger to ensure timely collection of customer debts.
  • Post customer receipts and process card payments.
  • Raise credit notes and issue customer statements.
  • Complete month-end reports and reconcile debtors.
  • Manage customer credit limits and oversee credit insurance.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve queries and ensure prompt debt collection.
  • Administration 
  • Handle other ad hoc duties as required, supporting the broader Finance team.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Excel and experienced with accounting software.
  • Developed IT skills, comfortable navigating and managing multiple systems.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • High level of accuracy and a strong work ethic.
  • Analytical thinker and effective problem solver.
  • Organized with solid administrative skills.
  • Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential corporate information.
