Bar Manager

Osborne are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead the operation of a much loved theatre bar. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast paced, customer focused environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional audience experiences. The Bar Manager will oversee the day to day running of the bar, lead and develop a small team including two Deputy Bar Managers, and ensure a welcoming, efficient, and high quality service for audiences, artists, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive working environment
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop bar staff
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback
• Act as a visible and approachable leader during performances and events
• Deliver high standards of customer service aligned with organisational values
• Oversee daily bar operations including stock control, ordering, and cash handling
• Manage budgets, margins, and cost controls
• Work closely with theatre management on programming and special events

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Bar Manager or in a senior hospitality management role
• Experience managing licensed venue operations end-to-end
• Proven team leadership, recruitment, and staff development experience
• Experience in theatre, arts, or live events environment
