Fully Qualified Accountant – Mitchelstown (hybrid working)

We are recruiting for a Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) to join a growing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional to manage accounts, support financial reporting, and contribute to ongoing process improvements. Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: €50,000 per year
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
  • Location: Starts hybrid in Mitchelstown, Cork; transitions to fully remote
  • Flexible Work Option: Opportunity to move to a Four-Day Week after probation

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the accounts of the business and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.
  • This role is initially hybrid (blend of office and remote work) and is designed to transition to fully remote once established.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI reports.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the finance department.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • 1–2 years post-qualification experience in a relevant accounting role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in financial reporting standards.
  • Experience managing a full set of accounts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
