Payroll Specialist

Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

About the Role
Osborne is delighted to partner with our client in seeking a Payroll Specialist to join an established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to work in a collaborative environment where attention to detail and process improvement are highly valued.
This is a hybrid role, with three days per week required in the office.

The Ideal Payroll Specialist

  • IPASS qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience, with strong knowledge of Irish tax, PRSI, and payroll legislation.
  • Proven track record of managing payroll operations within an audit and compliance framework.
  • Experience liaising with external payroll providers and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in pension administration and benefits management desirable.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist

  • Manage the preparation and processing of multiple payrolls via an outsourced provider, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare payroll sign-offs, reconciliations, and statutory returns (e.g., ROS, pension, PRSI, and levy submissions).
  • Respond to payroll and benefit-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Administer employee benefit schemes including pensions, healthcare, and other reward programmes.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives, including job architecture and compensation framework development.
  • Assist with employee onboarding by providing payroll and benefits information during induction sessions.
