Tax Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Tax Manager to join their growing team in Cork City. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax consultancy and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert tax consultancy and advisory services across various industries.
  • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive tax planning reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and external advisors to deliver a holistic consulting service.
  • Conduct tax research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving tax legislation.
  • Train, mentor, and support junior staff to aid their development and performance.
  • Review and manage deliverables produced by junior staff to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Lead tax consultancy projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the firm's growth.
  • Assist with the operational management of the Cork tax department, including oversight of WIP, debtors, billings, and fee collections.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) essential.
  • Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in tax consultancy and advisory services.
  • Strong technical expertise across multiple tax areas.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and delegate effectively.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and manage client expectations.
