Funding and Grants Manager

Location: Hybrid (Work from home with office presence in Dublin twice a month, plus some national travel)
Contract: FT Permanent
Salary: €45,000 + (DOE)

About the Funding and Grants Manager:
Osborne is looking for a dedicated and proactive Funding and Grants Manager to join a mission-driven team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the funding strategy for a charity focused on training and employment support. You will play a key role in managing relationships with funders, securing new funding opportunities, and reporting on the impact of various initiatives

The Ideal Funding and Grants Manager:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong relationship management skills, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and persuasive proposals.
  • Financial literacy, including working with budgets and data analysis.
  • Commitment to social impact and community support.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience managing grants over €50,000, particularly from public sector sources.
  • Demonstrated success in writing funding proposals.
  • Experience working with both government and corporate funders

The Funding and Grants Manager role:
1. Managing Existing Funders

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with funders, including businesses, government agencies, and foundations.
  • Prepare and deliver progress and impact reports to keep funders updated.
  • Organize engagement activities such as volunteering days and networking events.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector funding requirements.

2. Identifying and Securing New Funding

  • Research and identify potential new funding sources.
  • Develop compelling grant proposals to secure new or continued funding.
  • Establish and maintain connections with potential funders.

3. Supporting Team and Organisational Growth

  • Collaborate with delivery teams to stay informed on programme developments.
  • Support global funding initiatives in collaboration with international colleagues.
  • Participate in learner-facing activities such as mock interviews and support events.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to enhance the charity’s work and impact.
