Tax Manager

An exclusive opportunity has arisen with a medical device company based in Wicklow for a Part-Time Tax Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in international and corporation tax, bringing strategic insight and technical expertise to support the company’s global operations. Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and international tax returns.
  • Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax obligations and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Cross-Border Transactions: Manage and analyse the tax implications of cross-border transactions and business decisions.
  • Tax Audits: Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries by various tax authorities.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on tax laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes and developments.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide support and analysis related to the quarterly income tax provision of the organization’s international operations.
  • Team Leadership: Initially a stand-alone role but will lead to developing a team of tax professionals on international tax matters.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in tax management, particularly in corporation tax and international tax.
  • Education: A relevant degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, JD) are often preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international tax laws and regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and tax management systems.
  • This role is essential for managing a company's tax risks and ensuring compliance with complex tax regulations.
