Bookkeeper – Dublin 10

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of the business and ensure that all records are accurate and up-to-date. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for preparing the accounts up to trial balance stage and supporting the wider finance function.

Salary: €45k – 50k – Free Car Parking – Free Lunch – Monday to Friday – Fully Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
• Process accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and cash accounts regularly
• Maintain and update the general ledger
• Post and process journal entries (e.g. accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare the trial balance and support the production of financial statements
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with accounting standards
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders as needed
• Ensure compliance with tax requirements (e.g. VAT returns, PAYE)
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis if required

Requirements:

• Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience preparing accounts to trial balance
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and organizational skills
