We are hiring for a Sustainability Graduate on behalf of one of our well-known clients in Kildare. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental sustainability, ESG initiatives, and corporate social responsibility while working with an experienced team. No prior experience is required—just a strong passion for sustainability and a desire to learn!
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare (Fully on-site) Salary: €30,000 – €35,000 per annum Hours: Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM Holidays: 20 days per annum Reports to: Sustainability Lead

Key Responsibilities:
Track, analyse, and report sustainability metrics, including waste, water, energy consumption, and carbon footprint.
Assist in collecting data for EcoVadis and other sustainability audits, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for reducing waste, water, and energy usage, as well as material reuse and repurposing.
Support employee engagement in sustainability initiatives through awareness campaigns and training programs.
Help develop and maintain sustainability policies, ensuring they align with company goals and industry regulations.
Stay updated on emerging sustainability regulations and best practices to help integrate them into business operations.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the ESG programme, liaising with stakeholders, including the community, charities, and local government.
Introduce biodiversity and environmental initiatives at site and community levels to enhance the company’s positive impact.
Represent the company as a sustainability champion, attending customer meetings and internal presentations as required.
Support the marketing team by providing key sustainability data for corporate materials and digital marketing.
Collaborate with customers to enhance their sustainability efforts and contribute to the company’s sustainable offerings.
Drive internal sustainability engagement by promoting sustainable behaviours and actions across the business.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
A third-level qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related science discipline is required.
A strong passion for sustainability, particularly within the food industry.
Ability to work collaboratively with different departments to achieve sustainability goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
A proactive and self-motivated approach with a willingness to embrace new challenges.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data analysis.
Strategic thinking skills to analyse sustainability topics and contribute to business improvements.
