Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor a team of junior and senior accountants, providing guidance and technical support.
Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and tax compliance.
Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Review and finalize accounts prepared by the team before submission to clients or senior management.
Liaise directly with clients to provide financial advice and resolve queries professionally and efficiently.
Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency within the department.
Ensure all deadlines for audits, filings, and tax submissions are met.
Requirements:
5+ years' experience in an accountancy practise, with leadership experience
Qualified or Part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent)
Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
